The short version: the tools run in your browser, but a search becomes part of the page address, and an address is seen by the host and, while Nimotron uses Google AdSense, by Google.
Your searches and the page address
The letters, patterns and filters you enter are processed by a script running in your own browser. When you search on the tool pages, the search is added to the page address so that you can bookmark or share it. An address is not private: opening it sends it to the host like any other page request. While Nimotron uses Google AdSense, Google's advertising script runs on every page of the site and receives the address of each page you open, which can contain a search. The only file the tools download is the word list.
No accounts
Nimotron has no accounts, sign-up or comments, and it does not ask for your name or email address.
Hosting
Nimotron is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes request data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you ask for, to serve the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles that data.
Advertising
Nimotron may show advertising from Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Nimotron and other sites.
Third parties, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons or IP addresses, to collect information when ads are served on this site. While Nimotron uses Google AdSense, your browser sends Google the address of every page you open here, not only pages that show an ad, and that address can contain a search you typed. Nimotron cannot remove that search from the address.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. You can read more in how Google uses data when you use partner sites. Where the law requires it, a consent message from Google asks for your choice before personalised ads are shown.
Cookies
Nimotron does not set its own cookies. Cloudflare and advertising partners may set cookies, as described above.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
